Safety Drills & Procedures

At Borculo Christian School, the safety and well-being of our students and staff is a top priority. We are committed to creating a learning environment that is safe, prepared, and emotionally supportive.

An I Love U Guys School

Borculo Christian School follows the I Love U Guys Foundation Standard Response Protocol (SRP). This nationally recognized framework provides clear, consistent language for responding to emergency situations and is used by schools across the country.

Using shared terminology helps students, staff, and emergency responders communicate quickly and calmly when it matters most.

What Parents Can Expect

  • Safety drills are practiced intentionally and age-appropriately

  • Teachers explain procedures in a calm, reassuring way

  • Families are notified when appropriate

  • Local emergency responders are part of our planning and preparation

Communication During an Incident

If an actual emergency occurs, families will receive information through official school communication channels. Parents are asked not to come to campus unless directed, as this helps emergency responders do their jobs effectively and keeps students safe.

Learn more: A detailed overview of our safety procedures and protocols is available in the Parent Safety Guide below.

Weather Closings & Alerts

In the event of school closings or schedule changes:

  • Families will be notified via email.

  • Updates will be posted on official school communication channels. Fox 17, Wood TV 8, & WZZM 13
