We had a great year! I hope that you have a wonderful summer! Check your report card for BCS’ Summer Reading Program and a list from me of how you can exercise your brain over the summer! Remember to follow God in all you do this summer and stay safe!

I can’t believe that we are nearing the end of the school year! This year has flown by for me! The boys have grown so much this year in many different types of ways! We strive to finish well and continue to show each other the love and respect that God requires of us!

A few upcoming events:

The Hazenberg Hike is scheduled for Wed. May 12th! We will be going to Saugatuck Dunes with the fourth graders on Fri. May 14th! Thursday, May 20th is Grandparents’ Day! Friday, May 21st is a Track and Field Day with South Olive and Beaverdam!

Today we started our fun with the 12 Days of Christmas! We are reading a book about the real meanings behind the 12 Days, singing the “12 Days of Christmas” song, reading other versions of the 12 Days of Christmas, and writing our own versions as well! We are having so much fun with this!

On Wednesday, December 16th we will go to Providence Nursing Home to sing, perform a reader’s theater, and do crafts with the residents. We want to spread the love of Jesus and we know that in learning to serve others, we will be ministered to as well!

On Friday, December 18th the third graders will be leading a Christmas Chapel at 9 a.m. We are busily preparing a chapel that will remind all of us of the true meaning of Christmas: the birth of our Savior!

Reminder: Please bring in items for our Thanksgiving collection of 1,000 items for His Harvest Stand! We want to reach our goal and be a blessing to our community!

Can you believe that we have almost been in school for a month already? Time has flown by and we are getting used to the routines of third grade! We are learning each day how to be All-Stars for Jesus by living for Him. Take a peek at what else we are learning!

We will be going on a field trip this Thursday, Oct. 1st to the VanRaalte Farm. The field trip goes along with our Science Unit on Seeds!

School starts on Tuesday, September 8th! It was great to see many of you at the Open House and I look forward to seeing all of you on the first day of school! We have a lot in store for us the first week of school and throughout the year! I am excited to learn and grow with you as we explore our classroom theme of Being All-Stars for Jesus and our school’s theme of True Life, True Treasure! Enjoy your last week of summer!
