Kindergarten Meet the Teacher

About Miss Samantha Wiers

Miss Wiers is excited to be joining BCS while Mrs. Pyle is away on maternity leave!  She is looking forward to teaching the Young Fives and Kindergarten class and she cannot wait to start exploring more about God’s world with the students!

Miss Wiers grew up working on her family’s vegetable farm in Celeryville, Ohio.  She graduated from Calvin College and then took a teaching position at a Christian school on Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas.  She taught there two years teaching Kindergarten and first grade.  This past fall, she worked as an intervention specialist at a school in Ohio, but recently moved to Grand Rapids to join BCS!

Some of Miss Wiers’ interests include playing the piano, tap dancing, wakeboarding, jogging, reading, hiking, and traveling.

About Mrs. Amy Pyle

God has blessed Mrs. Pyle with teaching at BCS!  She is so thrilled to be teaching the precious children of Young Fives and Kindergarten again this year.

So, who is she?

  • A sinner, saved by grace.
  • A follower and servant of Jesus.
  • One called by the Lord to serve BCS
  • Trained for education by Calvin College, GVSU, 9 years  and over 100 students of experience.
  • A teacher that feels privileged to take part in inviting children to live God-honoring lives.
  • Outdoor enthusiast: running, biking, camping, hiking… you name it!

Join Mrs. Pyle in praying for the students of BCS, that they may be a shining light to the people of the earth, that they would invite Jesus to be Lord of their lives, and seek to serve His Kingdom wholeheartedly.  What a wonderful, mysterious work this is, to pray and eagerly await the answer to these prayers!
